Telephone Consultation with Kim Houston CCAB
Telephone Consultations are only available on veterinary referral. If you think that your cat has a behaviour problem, it is important to consult your vet first to ensure that there are no medical issues that might be causing or contributing to your cat’s behaviour. If no medical problem is diagnosed, you can ask to be referred to CAT-astrophes.
CAT-astrophes conduct telephone consultations seven days a week. We recognise peoples busy schedules, and as such, day and evening appointments are available. Telephone Consultations have proven very popular, and Kim now conducts consultations throughout the UK, Europe, and America. Other locations are available on request.
When a telephone consultation has been arranged, a behaviour history form will be emailed to you. We ask that the form is completed and emailed back to our offices at least three days before your scheduled appointment. We also request that you include photographs and/or video clips of you cat, your cat’s feeding station, sleeping area, litter box, and if possible a clip of the problem behaviour. This is all very important information and will help in evaluating your cat’s behaviour problem.
At the end of the consultation, a diagnosis is made and the motivation for the behaviour explained. You will then be emailed a comprehensive Behaviour Modification Plan, normally within 4-5 days, which you will be asked to follow. If requested, a summary report will be sent to your referring veterinary surgeon.
We will keep in close contact following the initial consultation and you will be asked to contact Kim each week either by phone or email to discuss progress. Usually a shorter, follow-up consultation is conducted one month later (at a reduced fee), to assess progress and to modify the plan if necessary.
To arrange an home visit consultation please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Once Kim receives the email, she will arrange a mutually convenient time for a consultation, and will then send out all the necessary documentation, including a questionnaire, veterinary referral form, and invoice for payment. All consultations must be prepaid.
CAT- astrophes does not issue refunds for missed appointments. If you need to change the date of your consultation, please provide 48 hours notice. Telephone Consultations are pre-arranged and made by the client.
